Her nicknames include Mondie and Mon-chan. There are long-time collectors who celebrate "Mondie Monday" by posting photos of their Mondrian on, you guessed it, Mondays. Her outfit is inspired by the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, as well as the 1965 Yves Saint Laurent collection that was inspired by his paintings.


Her box is a bright pink and is decorated with colorful paisley-reminiscent flourishes. It features the Blythe logo in purple against a hot pink clover. The display window is circular.


Mondrian has an extremely similar appearance to Dottie Dot, who was released nine months later. She has long blonde hair, parted at the left side with no fringe, that goes down to her mid-thigh. Her eye-shadow is a bright and warm green that is slightly lighter than Dottie's. Her lips are a bright pink. Her eyes are boggled, giving her a more bewildered look than Dottie. That little sliver of eyelid makes a big difference!
